 Joe C. Meek III, age 28 was born and raised in Citrus County. He graduated from Crystal River High School in 1998. He then moved to Tampa, Florida to attend the University Of South Florida where he was involved in the Business College Council and served as a Student Senator. He graduated from USF in 2002 with a degree in Business Management.
Joe worked for a home builder in Tampa for 1.5 years, and moved backed to Citrus County in 2003 to start his own company.
He currently is the President and Owner of JCM Development & Investment Corp., a company that partners with home builders to construct affordable residential projects. JCM provides capital to the home builders and helps them market, build, and sell the projects.
Joe is also the Vice-President of Citrus Builder, a home building firm in Citrus County that specializes in building affordable homes. He is a licensed Building Contractor, Real Estate Sales Person, and Mortgage Broker.
Joe is a member of the Citrus County Builders Association and serves on the Government Affairs committee for the Builders Association. He is also a member in the Chamber of Commerce, where he also serves on the Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee.
He is also a member of the Citrus County Commerce Coalition, known as C4. Joe serves on the School Board for a private Catholic School, Pope John Paul II. Last year he and his wife started The Joe and Amy Meek Scholarship Foundation, which awards scholarships to children from all three local public Citrus County High Schools.
He is the Chairman of the Board for the Foundation, and actively involved in helping local children in education. Joe is also a member of the Citrus County Republican Executive Committee. He is married to his best friend and love of his life, Amy Meek. Together they have just had their first baby, a boy named Joseph.
